Running municipal water and wastewater systems in the 21st century is a challenge. New technologies, an explosion in sensor equipment, and updated instrumentation and data collection methods produce a vast amount of information stored in diverse places. Because new regulatory mandates require additional sampling and laboratory analysis, existing applications must change to capture increasing amounts of data. Using limited or outdated tools, workers are stretched thin managing these new challenges.
